What type of lubricant or grease should I use on my GP or Super Polaris mount?

The factory applied grease is a specially blended mix that Vixen creates itself so is not available to buy "off the shelf".

Silicon grease of high viscosity (with the consistency of clear, glutinous malt sugar) is used for the worm gears.

Car axle oil mixed with silicon grease (like jelly) is used for RA axis shaft and DEC axis shaft.  Since no bearings are used on the old Super Polaris and GP mounts, the higher the viscosity of grease, the stiffer the rotation of the axes.
